Hi, my name is Merit! I am a southern lady who has decided to venture up north in search of a home of my own. I was rescued from a BSL rescue only facility in AR. I went to a really nice foster home, until the foster home got a job in another state, at which point I ended up in boarding. After months and months of waiting and hoping, a foster home was finally found!

 

 

Now I am living it up it the northeast and having lots of fun. I am adjusting to life outside of boarding and my foster mom has been bragging on me and how great I am doing. I know how to sit and I walk well on a leash. I’m working on learning “wait” and “look.” I’m a true superstar. I am food and praise motivated and I do very well with positive reinforcement. I love to play but I also love to cuddle. I settle down well. 

 

 

I am approx. a year old, I am a pit mixed girl (mixed with what, we are not sure) and I’m a great size, not too big and not too little. I love going for rides in the care and I love, love to play fetch. I drop the ball at my foster mom’s feet every time!  I am good with other dogs, especially those who understand that I am still a bit of a puppy. My foster family has a four year old daughter who is my new best friend. I sleep next to her every night and I stick by her side when ever possible.  I also like cats.  You see, I am the complete package!
