Tina is a 1 year old spayed female mixed breed dog. Petfinder doesn't have a box to check off the breed "local Ethiopian street dog" so we made our best guess based off her temperment and looks, and dogs seen in Africa. Tina is 34 lbs. Tina was rescued from Ethiopia this summer. The director of GKR walked past Tina everyday while part of her family was living there. Tina was on the streets of Addis Ababa on a very busy highway everyday looking for food and romping with other street dogs. Tina was the only dog the entire time the director was there that approached her and her children. All other dogs backed away in fear for multiple reasons. Tina is sweet, submissive and loves to romp and play with her dog friends. Tina is shy with other dogs at first but always makes friends and LOVES to play! Tina is houestrained, and crate trained-- but she isn't crated in foster. She does need appropriate things to chew on. Tina loves kids, and is great with even toddlers. Tina now does great with cats!! She has really gotten used to them in foster. Tina has no formal obedience training, but is learning "off" as she loves to jump up and give everyone and anyone 1 million kisses if they let her. Tina spends most of her day sleeping, resting, napping and lounging. She's very, very mellow for such a young dog. But, she does need walks or another dog to play with to burn off some steam now and then. This girl is VERY special to the director of GKR and deserves the very best of homes!
