Red is a beautiful and regal 1.5 year old, 50lb, neutered male mixed breed dog. He seems to be a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and possibly Lab, Hound, Akita, or Basenji.  Red is friendly and social with humans and dogs alike.  He loves to play, carry around a bone, snuggle, and stay right by your side.  His foster home describes him as “just the sweetest dog.” 

There are many things that Red needs in his lifestyle including exercise so he can get the physical and mental stimulation he needs to be successful in a home.  Red would make a great running companion as he is great on leash and does not pull. He would do great in a household that wants to do agility, he aims to please and is a quick learner.  Red would also thrive in a situation where he would have another dog to play with.  He loves to run around and play tug with other dogs.

Red knows 'sit' and is working on his basic training.  He is housetrained, crate trained, and has great household manners.  Red is OK with dog savvy cats,  but might chase if he is allowed. Red is also best suited for a home with kids 10 and up as he may knock over a small child.
