Penny is a sweet older girl. The vet estimates she’s around 7, Which is on the older side especially for Boston Terriers. Due to some spinal issues her back legs are on the weaker side, she needs help or steps to get up on a couch and has a little quirk where she stands with her back legs crossed. Her skin is already SO much better than when we got her but it is still healing and it’ll take time for her to get all the way back to her beautiful self. 
      She loves to be close to people, snuggling, following them around, and giving sweet kisses. She only barks if she’s left alone at night (not her favorite but once she gets used to it she does great!). Other than that she is completely silent. She loves affection and belly rubs and gets along great with other animals (cats and dogs!) but doesn’t like it when other dogs sound like they’re fighting, she has a maternal instinct  and if she hears fighting she will try to break it up before going back to her nap (but she does not get vicious).
     She is lower energy, and doesn’t need much for exercise or running around, she would much rather be a couch potato. She is potty trained and has had no accidents at all! She always eats all of her breakfast and dinner but prefers dry kibble with a little water in it to soften it up for her older teeth. 
    Penny takes a little bit of time to warm up and is a little fragile, she enjoys gentle pets but is not a fan of vigorous rubs or pats. She can be kind of shy at first but once she loves you she loves you with  all of her heart and will be your snuggly shadow as long as you let her! We don’t know much about her history before she came to us, but she is a real treasure with lots of love to give. She knows “sit” and “stay” and will wait very patiently for her treats. She is an absolute gem of a dog and deserves all the snuggles and love she can stand. ❤️”
