We have come to the very difficult decision that we need to re-home one of our rescue dogs, Clover. Clover is a very special, 30lb. mix breed dog that looks similar to a mini golden/ shepherd mix. We’ve realized that being part of her re-homing is what’s best for her, so we are taking it on ourselves to find her the best home possible.

About Clover:

She came to us from a rescue in the south, where she was seized from a previous owner when she was about 5 months old. We took her in in the summer of 2020. Initially, she was very scared and weary of people but has grown into the sweetest little dog who loves her people and wants to be a good girl as much as possible. Clover is very affectionate and gentle and she wants nothing more than to be cute, play with her toys, and nestle in your arms at night. She also LOVES chasing squirrels, and knows most basic commands. Clover is spayed, in good health, and up-to-date on all her shots.

Why we need to re-home Clover:

We brought her into our home with our other dog and they grew to love each other playing and living almost without incident with one another. A few disputes here and there but nothing that raised concerns about the dogs ability to live with one another. As Clover grew more confident so did conflict between the two dogs. It has come to a point where what is best for the two of them is that they be separated. We did not reach this decision lightly and we will only give her to someone that we feel understands her needs and will love her as much as we do.

Clover’s needs (which far outweigh her challenges):

Clover has adapted to residential life well. She loves her yard and being outside, but also loves her inside time. Clover can be startled by loud noises and too much outside city stimulation gives her a bit of anxiety, so city life is not for her. She loves to walk in the woods and has improved her recall with treats as her reward. She would be a great adventure dog. Inside the home she is as sweet as they come and loves to cuddle and play with her toys.

Clover would be best suited in a home without another dog and without small children, as she does not have experience with them. She is not aggressive towards people but is hesitant until she is comfortable. Guests being given treats as they arrive seems to work and allows her to warm up to them quickly. She needs more work with other dogs on leash and in the dog park as she does bark.

She has come so far since we brought her to our home and it truly breaks our heart to see her go but with the right person, and the right place for her to call her home she will be the best friend, and cuddle buddy any dog lover could ask for.

If you are interested in learning more and meeting Clover please reach out.We are happy to send the cutest pictures you will ever see.  We can arrange a time to meet and see if it’s a good fit. We will only give her to a home that will provide her everything she deserves. She is quite special and deserves the best situation.
